Empathy
Care technology should start with respect for the people involved: seniors, families, caregivers, nurses, managers, and everyone trying to do the right thing under real-world pressure.
About CairView
CairView exists because good care is built from small moments: a note remembered, a change noticed, a task followed through, a family reassured.
Origin
CairView began with a simple question: how can we make caring easier? Our founders saw how care teams struggled with paperwork, scheduling, and fragmented communication, and how families often felt out of the loop. So we set out to create a platform that brings it all together: a clearer view of care, built with compassion and purpose.
Care technology should start with respect for the people involved: seniors, families, caregivers, nurses, managers, and everyone trying to do the right thing under real-world pressure.
Care teams should not need more noise. CairView is designed to make records, handovers, tasks, observations, and follow-up easier to understand and easier to act on.
Good care depends on shared context. CairView helps important details travel across shifts, families, care settings, and product layers, so the picture stays clearer for everyone involved.
Nina brings the care-sector insight behind CairView: practical experience of how senior care is delivered, managed, and felt day to day. A nursing expert with international clinical experience and a degree from Norway, she spent 13 years at Discovery Health managing multiple care divisions before completing her Honours in Business Management at GIBS.
As General Manager of a Johannesburg retirement village, Nina saw how easily important details could disappear into paper, messages, memory, and handovers. That operational gap led directly to CairView.
Gary brings the product craft behind CairView: turning complex daily care realities into practical software that helps teams notice, act, and follow through. A senior full-stack software engineer with more than 20 years of experience, he has built banking, learning, and consumer platforms across Southern Africa, including production systems for Nedbank, TymeBank, and Discovery.
His work includes software used in high-stakes and large-scale environments, including work connected to NASA and major global enterprises. He was also featured in Great South African Inventions, published by Cambridge University Press.
Since founding CairView, Nina and Gary have begun working with other specialists who share that mission, extending the platform into new areas of care, sensor-supported awareness, learning, and international partnerships.
Current direction
CairView is growing across three connected areas: the care management platform, CairView Sense for sensor-supported awareness, and CairView Academy for care-team learning.
Care management for daily care operations.
Discreet sensors and daily observations.
Learning tools for care teams, coming soon.
